Basketball Recap: Horton Comes Up Short

Horton fought the good fight in their overtime match against Troy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 69-62 to the Troy Trojans.

Troy was led to victory by Henry Geiger and Jack Hartman. Geiger to rack up 26 points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Hartman dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Those 26 points gave Geiger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Engemann, who posted six points.

Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5-1. As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Horton nor Troy have any future games scheduled.
