Soccer Game Preview: River Ridge vs. Arnold

The River Ridge Royal Knights will take on the Arnold Marlins at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.

River Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against New Smyrna Beach by a score of 4-2. The Royal Knights' winning goal came courtesy of Marko Maric.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Arnold ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Booker T. Washington, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Marlins were the better team in the second half.

River Ridge pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Arnold, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.

River Ridge might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Arnold when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can River Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
