Softball Recap: Clemente Has No Trouble Against Goode STEM Academy

Clemente's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Goode STEM Academy Knights. Considering the Wildcats have won six games by more than 12 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Clemente got a massive performance out of Sabrina Negron, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Negron a new career-high. Kayla Porrata was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Clemente always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .605 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Clemente's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Goode STEM Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Clemente has already played their next contest, an 18-8 victory against Victoria Soto on the 29th. Hopefully Goode STEM Academy paid attention to the Wildcats' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
