South Effingham has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will host the Evans Knights at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

South Effingham's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Effingham County on Friday. They were outmatched by the Rebels on the road and fell 47-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Evans had to suffer through a 48-14 loss at the hands of Brunswick. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Pirates are ranked 45th).

Despite the defeat, Evans had strong showings from Jeremy Howard, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and Breyden Johnson, who rushed for 102 yards on only 13 carries. The dominant performance gave Howard a new career-high in rushing yards.
