Basketball Game Preview: McKinney Lions vs. Plano Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the McKinney Lions face off against the Plano Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... McKinney will be strutting in after a victory while Plano will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, McKinney strolled past Rock Hill with points to spare, taking the game 63-44.

Meanwhile, Plano suffered their closest loss since November 16, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Rock Hill by a score of 47-44. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

McKinney pushed their record up to 17-15 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Plano, their loss dropped their record down to 7-21.

Everything came up roses for McKinney against Plano when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 74-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McKinney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
