Basketball Recap: Cumberland Has No Trouble Against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg

Cumberland entered their tilt with Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg. The match marked the Pirates' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Cumberland found their leader in sophomore Chase Stewart, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stewart has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Harmon, who posted six points and 13 rebounds.

The win got Cumberland back to even at 5-5. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Cumberland will take on Flora in a tournament on Thursday. Flora will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cumberland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will be taking part in a tournament against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 5:30 p.m. on December 30th.
