Football Game Preview: Albert Gallatin Colonials vs. Weir Red Riders + How To Watch

The Albert Gallatin Colonials will square off against the Weir Red Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Albert Gallatin has 12 straight wins, Weir has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Albert Gallatin humbled Brownsville with a 62-21 victory. Considering the Colonials have won five matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Adam Pegg was his usual excellent self, rushing for 227 yards and three scores while picking up 14.2 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards and one TD.incredibly, Pegg got all that yardage with just one huge grab Another player making a difference was Roman Smith, who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.

Meanwhile, Weir came up short against East Liverpool on Friday and fell 26-19. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Red Riders came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 74th in West Virginia, while the Potters are ranked 497th in Ohio).

Albert Gallatin's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Weir, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Albert Gallatin against Weir in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-20 win. Will the Colonials repeat their success, or do the Red Riders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
