Basketball Recap: Harrison Herndon Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Loup

On Tuesday, the Sutton Mustangs earned a 58-48 victory over South Loup. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Sutton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Harrison Herndon out in front who posted 11 points and seven assists. The dominant performance gave Herndon a new career-high in assists. Aidan Jones was another key player, putting up 17 points and six rebounds.

Sutton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Sutton's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for South Loup, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 18-5 record.

Sutton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-43 defeat against Cross County on the 27th. South Loup does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
