Baseball Recap: Borden Gets the Win

Borden gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Orleans Bulldogs by a score of 7-4. The win continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

Will Bobay was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was A.J. Eversmann, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Borden's record is now 9-6. As for Orleans, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borden will face off against Austin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Orleans, they will challenge West Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
