Recap: Havelock Rams vs. Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs
The Havelock Rams lost against the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Havelock fell 44-37 to Northside - Jacksonville.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adaija Cypress, who scored six points along with seven steals. Nevaeh George was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Northside - Jacksonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakyia Rogers led the charge by scoring 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sa'niyah Serrano, who scored 14 points.
Havelock has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Northside - Jacksonville, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-13.
Havelock will take on J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. J.H. Rose is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they will head out on the road to face off against New Bern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
