Softball Recap: Galion Gets the Win

While Galion put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Huron. Galion came out on top against Huron by a score of 4-0. Galion has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Huron, too.

Maddie Beck made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madelyn Schieber, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Huron, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Galion will take on Marion Harding at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Huron, they will face off against Edison at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
