Volleyball Recap: Meridian Gets the Win

Meridian won the last time they faced Dorchester and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 2-0.

Jetta Stewart paced Meridian's offense, picking up nine kills. Stewart got some help from Olivia Schafer and her 14 assists. Stewart also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lani Lutjemeyer, each putting up two.

When it comes to explaining why Dorchester lost, don't look at Savannah June. Despite the final result, she had 19 assists and ten digs.

Meridian now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Dorchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-15.

Meridian has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against High Plains on the 21st. As for Dorchester, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 21st.
