Baseball Recap: Leroy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Leroy extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 9-2. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Enterprise Bulldogs. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in February, they had to take a 9-6 defeat.

Leroy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jace Sellers, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Sellers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

As for Enterprise, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Enterprise's side, Hayden Griffin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Leroy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-3 victory against West Marion on the 14th. As for Enterprise, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-3 defeat against Sylva Bay Academy on the 20th.
