Softball Recap: Casteel Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Casteel proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Perry Pumas 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colts have posted since February 26, 2025.

KJ Tipton was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Ella Guttierrez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

The victory (which was Casteel's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Casteel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pumas: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
