Volleyball Recap: Aurora Central Takes a Loss

Aurora Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Adams City Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 7th.

Aurora Central took Adams City into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-23, 25-15, 16-25, 17-15.

Anneliese Lara paced Aurora Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Lara got some help from Andena Torres and her ten assists. Avyanna Langkiet- Balderes controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Aurora Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Adams City, their win ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-17.

Aurora Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Adams City, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Northglenn on the 24th.
