Football Recap: Pepperell Wins Going Away Against Adairsville

After losing to Adairsville the last time they met, Pepperell decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dragons strolled past the Tigers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-17.

Despite the loss, Adairsville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jake Barszcz picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss). The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.

The win got Pepperell back to even at 1-1. As for Adairsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pepperell will face off against Christian Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Adairsville, they will take on Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
