Softball Game Preview: River Bluff Gators vs. Blythewood Bengals

The River Bluff Gators will head out to challenge the Blythewood Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Bluff has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

River Bluff heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Wednesday. They came up short against James F. Byrnes, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Gators' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Blythewood lost 9-3 to Clover on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bengals in their meetings with the Blue Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Blythewood's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for River Bluff, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-12-2.

River Bluff suffered a grim 12-6 defeat to Blythewood in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Gators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
