Football Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Jefferson County extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt a 38-0 defeat at the hands of the Northeast Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Raiders are ranked 109th).

As for Northeast, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. That looming 38-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Jordan Wiggins had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 266 yards and six TDs while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 53 yards on only five carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. Tavarus Tinsley Jr was in the mix as well, providing Northeast with two touchdowns.

Jefferson County and Northeast will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Dublin at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Northeast, their break will end when they face Academy for Classical Education at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
