Hemlock is 6-1 against Nouvel Catholic Central since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Huskies will welcome the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Last Tuesday, Hemlock got the win against Carrollton by a conclusive 21-3. The Huskies have beaten the Cavaliers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cavaliers has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Nouvel Catholic Central made easy work of Tawas Area on Friday and carried off a 13-3 win.

John Carlson and Mathew Kusowski were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Carlson struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Kusowski tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Carlson scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Kusowski went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Owen Vance was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Cam Kaul was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hemlock skirted past Nouvel Catholic Central 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
