Baseball Recap: Rock Canyon Takes a Loss

Rock Canyon managed to slip by Cherry Creek the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Rock Canyon lost 12-1 to Cherry Creek on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Rock Canyon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Carmann, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Rock Canyon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Cherry Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4-1.

Rock Canyon will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Heritage at 4:15 p.m. on the 14th. As for Cherry Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Valor Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
