Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Center Tigers vs. Wapakoneta Redskins

The Jackson Center Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Wapakoneta Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jackson Center will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Jackson Center got the win against New Knoxville by a conclusive 57-31. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wapakoneta came up short against Van Wert on Friday and fell 57-47.

Jackson Center pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Wapakoneta, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Jackson Center beat Wapakoneta 40-33 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson Center since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
