Baseball Game Preview: Pickerington North Panthers vs. Lincoln Lions

For the second straight game, Pickerington North will face off against Lincoln. The Panthers will welcome the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pickerington North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Pickerington North lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lincoln, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Panthers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 18-11 win on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Lions since April 26, 2023.

Gabe Garcia looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Pickerington North: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two hits, but 3-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Pickerington North got a massive performance out of Brent Parsons, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Parsons has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Dixon, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.

Pickerington North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Pickerington North back to even at 6-6. As for Lincoln, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
