Baseball Game Preview: Fossil Ridge Panthers vs. Chisholm Trail Rangers

For the second straight game, Fossil Ridge will face off against Chisholm Trail. The Panthers will welcome the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fossil Ridge is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Fossil Ridge came into this matchup off a tough 14-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Chisholm Trail by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

For Chisholm Trail's part, Logan Rosales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Chisholm Trail's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Pi?a, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run was Pi?a's first of the season.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18-2. As for Chisholm Trail, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
