Baseball Recap: Pascagoula Finds Home Field Redemption Against Moss Point

There's no place like home for Pascagoula, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Moss Point Tigers by a score of 5-2 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Sean Norvel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Norvel was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.

In other batting news, Brodie Merrill was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those runs were his first of the season.

The victory got Pascagoula back to even at 2-2. As for Moss Point, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
