Softball Recap: Carthage Takes a Loss

After flying high against Watertown on Thursday, Carthage came back down to earth. The Comets came up short against the Proctor Raiders on Friday, falling 19-5. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Carthage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Proctor, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carthage will head out to take on South Lewis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Proctor, they will venture away from home to challenge Rome Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
