Softball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood lost against Lynden back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lakewood wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-8), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Cassidy Wolfe was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Riley Pevny was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Lakewood now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lynden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Lakewood will face off against Nooksack Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakewood will need to watch out since Nooksack Valley has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lynden, they are taking a road trip to face off against Squalicum at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
