Volleyball Recap: Addison Schroeder Key Part of Team Effort in Old Abes Win

The Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes beat the Prescott Cardinals 2-0 on Saturday.

Eau Claire Memorial got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Schroeder out in front who had three digs and two aces. Schroeder is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Schroeder wasn't the only good servers: Eau Claire Memorial was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Eau Claire Memorial back to even at 17-17. As for Prescott, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Coincidentally, Eau Claire Memorial and Prescott will both be playing McDonell Central the next time they take the court. The Old Abes will head out to face the Macks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
