Baseball Recap: Midfield Comes Up Short

Midfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 10-5 to the Fultondale Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in February.

Midfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Fultondale, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Midfield will head out to take on Pinson Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Midfield is facing Pinson Valley at the right time seeing as Pinson Valley is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Fultondale, they will face off against Dora at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dora has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.23 runs per game on average), something Fultondale will no doubt try to take advantage of.
