Football Recap: Saint James Trojans vs. Bullock County Hornets
Saint James extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They received a blow as they fell 31-14 to the Bullock County Hornets. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
Mason Craig threw for 68 yards on only five passes. Luke Catchings was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards.
As for Bullock County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average this season.
Tyekelis Wallace was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 188 yards and three scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 41 yards and one TD. Wallace is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season.
