Baseball Game Preview: Parkview Vikings vs. Williams Bay Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Parkview will face off against Williams Bay. The Vikings will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.

Parkview barely beat Williams Bay the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 9-2 win on Thursday. The Vikings have beaten the Bulldogs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Louis Nath made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Nath was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Parkview: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-10 otherwise.

In other batting news, Mathias Treinen was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Parkview is 3-1 when Treinen posts two or more runs, but 2-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Christrian Hobon, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Parkview's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Williams Bay, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.
