Football Recap: PURE Academy Comes Up Short

PURE Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to the Lafayette Commodores on the road by a 30-14 margin.

PURE Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Lafayette, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. PURE Academy will challenge Holly Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lafayette, they will square off against New Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Commodores their first taste of in-conference action this season.
