Basketball Recap: Bryson Horning's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Delavan over Elmwood

Delavan lost against Elmwood back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The game between the Delavan Panthers and the Elmwood Trojans didn't end well, with the Delavan Panthers falling 51-36. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delavan lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryson Horning, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Pagel, who posted eight points.

Even though they lost, Delavan was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. This was only their tenth loss (out of 13 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Delavan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Elmwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delavan will take on Lewistown at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Elmwood, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Farmington at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
