Baseball Recap: Colfax Find Success

Colfax is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Union Mine on Monday, but Union Mine came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Falcons came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Diamondbacks. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Diamondbacks, too.

Adam Harvey was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Cleek, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Colfax's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Union Mine, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Coming up, Colfax will welcome Sutter at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union Mine, they will square off against Reed at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Diamondbacks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
