Football Game Preview: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Western Guilford Hornets + How To Watch

The Ragsdale Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Western Guilford Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ragsdale will be strutting in after a win while Western Guilford will be coming in after a defeat.

Ragsdale took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down Ben L. Smith 20-6.

Ragsdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hertsel Smith and Maurice Dines Jr.. Smith got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, Western Guilford was a bit more limited in their matchup last Friday. They were dealt a 41-3 loss at the hands of Dudley. The Hornets have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Western Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ragsdale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Ragsdale skirted past Western Guilford 45-42 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
