Softball Recap: Desert Comes Up Short

Desert and Kern Valley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Desert had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Broncs by a score of 4-3. The Scorpions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncs earlier this season, when they won 11-6.

Desert has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season. As for Kern Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Desert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kern Valley, they will face off against Torres at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Toros have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
