Timpview waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Wasatch Wasps as they made off with a 59-39 victory. The Thunderbirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Dean Rueckert continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Will Openshaw was another key player, going 5 for 7 on his way to 13 points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Timpview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Timpview is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Wasatch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timpview will host Cedar Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Timpview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests. As for Wasatch, they will welcome Orem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orem will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Wasatch surely won't give up without a fight.
