It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fellowship Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Savannah Christian Raiders 45-14. The result was nothing new for the Paladins, who have now won ten matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fellowship Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Granby, who rushed for 133 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 71 yards and one TD. The Paladins also got a significant boost from Cj Givers, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 113 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fellowship Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. They rushed for 120 more rushing yards than Savannah Christian's also-impressive total of 211.

When it comes to explaining why Savannah Christian lost, don't look at Blaise Thomas. Despite the final result, he rushed for 131 yards and one score, and also threw for 105 yards and one touchdown. Thomas' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Fellowship Christian, bringing their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average over those games. As for Savannah Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Fellowship Christian will challenge Calvary Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Paladins 14.3, the Cavaliers 13.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Savannah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
