Baseball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

Legacy and Bonanza squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Legacy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Longhorns have suffered since April 22nd.

Tyson Lake made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Legacy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-3 (and 7-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Bomani Satterfield, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Legacy now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Bonanza, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season.

Legacy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonanza, they will challenge Rancho on Thursday. The Bengals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
