Basketball Game Preview: Fairland Dragons vs. Waynesville Spartans

The Fairland Dragons will take on the Waynesville Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fairland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They breezed past North Adams to the tune of 77-44. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Green Devils are ranked 156th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Waynesville had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.1 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blue Devils 79-41.

Fairland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season. Waynesville's win bumped their record up to 21-4.
