Mesa Vista had won eight straight games and Tana Lopez did her part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Mesa Vista Trojans came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-49 W against the Questa Wildcats thanks to Lopez, who posted 23 points and seven boards. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Questa's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aliyah Santistevan, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Cardenas, who earned 13 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Mesa Vista's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for Questa, their loss dropped their record down to 17-5.
