Softball Recap: Woods Cross Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Woods Cross's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Clearfield Falcons on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Woods Cross saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tina Tuakiapimahu, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base was Tuakiapimahu's first of the season.

Woods Cross dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Clearfield, their record now sits at 10-6.

Coming up, Woods Cross will welcome Summit Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clearfield, they will take on Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
