South Gwinnett kept a clean sheet against Grovetown on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Grovetown Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Grovetown with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eylin Orellana Gonzalez, Lauren Ward, and Naomi Calvillo.

The victory was the third in a row for South Gwinnett, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Grovetown, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

South Gwinnett has already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Heritage on the 4th. As for Grovetown, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Archer on the 4th.
