Football Recap: Schley County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Schley County lost against Early County back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 33-6 loss at the hands of the Bobcats. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

Blake Weldon threw for 125 yards and one TD. Caleb Renfroe was his top target, picking up 80 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeremiah Johnson rushed for 31 yards.

Devonis Lee went supernova For Early County., rushing for 90 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Schley County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Early County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Schley County and Early County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wildcats will take on rival Chattahoochee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Early County is set to challenge their familiar foe Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
