Softball Recap: Osceola Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Osceola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Celebration Storm on Monday as they made off with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Kowboys in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won nine in a row.

Audrey Stewart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tenley Dawson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Destiny Ferrer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Osceola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Celebration only posted an OBP of .294.

Osceola's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Celebration, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osceola will take on Harmony in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Celebration, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Oasis Christian at 6:00 p.m.
