St. Martinville is 5-0 against Erath since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The St. Martinville Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Erath Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. St. Martinville is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
St. Martinville put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crowley 66-21 on the road. Given St. Martinville's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Crowley is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Erath had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Crowley 48-19 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Erath has posted since November 15, 2023.
St. Martinville's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Erath, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Everything came up roses for St. Martinville against Erath when the teams last played on January 9th as the squad secured a 63-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Martinville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
