Spencer County waltzed into their matchup on Sunday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the South Oldham Dragons 12-5. 12 seems to be a good number for the Bears as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Spencer County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Oldham, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-19.

Looking ahead, Spencer County will take on Walton-Verona at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. South Oldham does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
