Recap: Tupper Lake Lumberjacks vs. Chazy Eagles
The Tupper Lake Lumberjacks lost against the Chazy Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tupper Lake had to suffer through a rough 54-9 loss at the hands of Chazy. Tupper Lake has struggled against Chazy recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Chazy can attribute much of their success to Carly LaPierre, who scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which LaPierre has scored at least 25% of Chazy's points. Another player making a difference was Samantha Gonyo-Lafountain, who scored 10 points.
Tupper Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chazy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tupper Lake will take on Indian Lake Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chazy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boquet Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Boquet Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday.
