Byron waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders to the tune of 70-12. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Despite the loss, Ashton-Franklin Center had strong showings from Nolan Rueff, who posted six points, and Nate Becker, who scored four points.

Byron now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byron will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Dubuque at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
