Softball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Santa Fe Trail

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Santa Fe Trail ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Rock Creek Mustangs 5-4. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Brooke Neidhardt was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

Santa Fe Trail's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Rock Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Santa Fe Trail has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Wellsville on the 29th. Rock Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
