Soccer Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area vs. Hollidaysburg

Bald Eagle Area hasn't had much luck against Hollidaysburg recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Golden Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Bald Eagle Area's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Bald Eagle Area took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Penn Cambria. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Bald Eagle Area considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg hadn't done well against Altoona recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Golden Tigers never let the Mountain Lions get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The result kept Hollidaysburg happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 11th.

Bald Eagle Area's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four contests. As for Hollidaysburg, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-1.
